Mark also advises clients on all aspects of intellectual property and IP litigation. He has wide experience of copyright, trade marks, brand protection, design, passing off, Fair Trading Act and confidential information disputes and advises extensively in those areas. Mark has further specialised in consumer law, privacy and food expertise. He has advised extensively on food law, food labelling and code compliance, nutritional claims, the development of new products and product recalls. He also has experience in advertising law, in particular the ASA Codes and complaints processes.

- Advising numerous businesses on all aspects of privacy including drafting privacy policies, advising on spam laws as well as dealing with privacy complaints.
- Advising assorted clients with data breaches including liaising with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
- Assisting two international companies on separate ransomware attacks with release of information into the dark web in 2023 and 2024 and managing its reporting requirements in New Zealand.
- Advising various companies on the use of technology in workplaces and products and associated privacy considerations.
