Dr. Pazos earned his bachelor's degree with honors from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. In 1991, he obtained a Master's degree in Comparative Jurisprudence from the New York University (NYU) School of Law. This program is aimed at lawyers trained in the Roman-Germanic system, allowing them to immerse themselves, through a synthesis, in the professional career of lawyers in countries adhering to the common law system.
He began his professional career at the firm, practicing full-time in the area of tax law. He has since joined the Peruvian Institute of Tax Law. He has spent his entire professional career at the firm, serving as one of its principal partners.
After completing his Master's degree and with the significant international experience he gained, he continued to lead the firm's tax practice, but also ventured into various areas of his practice, such as agrarian law, legal proceedings before the State, corporate and corporate law, company acquisitions and mergers, negotiation of national and international contracts, negotiation and resolution of pre-trial or arbitration disputes, debt refinancing and collateral structuring, large-scale real estate transactions, and management and administration of arbitrations and civil proceedings. He has actively participated in the most important national and international cases entrusted to our firm in recent decades. His extensive knowledge in diverse areas of law has allowed him to serve as a permanent consultant to leading companies in the country in various sectors of economic activity.
With over twenty-five years of professional experience, he is now responsible for the management, administration, and coordination of various areas of the firm and is in charge of interacting with our firm's main clients.
Dr. Pazos has served as a director of national companies and is currently the attorney and representative in Peru for major transnational corporations of North American and European origin.
